Lunar's New Moon Update (November 1, 2024)
Have you been enjoying the crisp air, colorful leaves, and exciting adventures with Lunar's Outdoor Adventures this October?! We've got a couple opportunities scheduled including an online talk to a full moon hike.
October Recap:
- We kicked off the month with a New Moon and a PA Trails Talk, sharing our favorite routes and tips.
- We delved into the art of lightweight backpacking at our Lighten Your Load program at Rider Park.
- We hosted not one, but two Mastering Mapping Apps programs at Rider Park, equipping adventurers with essential navigation skills.
- Lunar led a “Vistas and Falls” family hike exploring his favorite section of the Loyalsock Trail stopping to enjoy a picnic lunch at the Alpine Vista and meandering through rhododendron trails to scenic hidden waterfalls. The families also worked together to perform some minor trail maintenance removing a fallen tree from the trail.

Full Moon Hike: Experience the magic of a winter night hiking trip under the November full moon (November 16th 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm) at Rider Park.
